the two trees
6:02 AMhey! i am back! from where? PERAK ! huh~ how i miss my blog :3 why i went there? oh yeah, last Friday, i went to Kedah for my cousin's wedding (congratz! be a good husband to her :3) and on my way back , we stop by at Lumut for 2 days & 2 night vacation :D
SubbahanAllah,it was GREAT ! we really enjoyed it :)
the whole view was fantastic and i hope to go back there :) we did so many cool things there but this post wasn't for this vacation thingy so maybe next time? okay. :)
now,when i was at Kedah, i read this famous Islamic magazine, 'solusi' and i found this one interesting article based on a story that the writer was fond of.(i am sure many of you guys read it :D) it was a really short story yet a really meaningful story about 'the two trees'.now let me tell you guys the story :)

THE TWO TREES
One fine day,the two trees up on a hill were talking about their dreams and hope.the first tree started saying "i wish that when the time has come for me to be cut down, i will be turned into a one fine beautiful box for rich people to put their precious things,jewelries,golds and such."
then the other one said "well,i hope that i will be turned into a one big ship that sails kings and queens across the sea because of my big size and strength." A few months afterwards, came two lumber to chop down the trees. the two trees were very happy hoping that their dreams will be come true.
but the exact opposite thing happened.the first tree was turned into a box and used by a farmer to put horse's food in it and the second tree was turned into a small boat used by a poor fisherman to sail on the sea.
the two trees were so upset because their wishes were not fulfilled by Allah.but suddenly...the farmer's pregnant wife was unable to hold on and gave birth in the pen and the box was the only thing that can be used to put their baby in it.and the fisherman was surprised by a heavy storm and swap away by the ocean but because of the boat's strength,it refrained from leaking and it saved the fisherman from sinking.
then,the two trees realized that even though it didn't turned out the way they want it to be, but what Allah knows what's better for us.because if it wasn't for the tree,the boat would've sank and if wasn't for the tree,the farmer won't have any other safe place to put their baby.we can wish,ask,pray,dream,plan,but Allah determines cause He knows the best :)
