eid mubarak : what is it really for ?

first of all, i do realised that it's been really long, i mean like freaking REALLY long time since my last post but i guess that doesn't bother anyone so it's not something that concerns anyone, aight? anyway, happy eid mubarak dear fellow readers ! its already 6th syawal but everyone must still be busy with raya-ing neighbour's house, relatives, teachers, friends or even knocking in random houses. and maybe there's some that spent their raya holidays by going to the malls, cinemas, i don't know, maybe theme parks or something but it is the modern days. people spent raya differently following on the years passing by.
eid mubarak ; the day where we celebrate on our victory for fighting off our nafs , not just not to eat or drink, but also trying to control ourself from doing things that Allah has already forbidden us to do. even if in Malaysia, they focus more on forgiveness and all but it's not wrong isn't it? asking others for forgiveness, that's not something that people do everyday mostly because of human's nature a.k.a big egg ego . we can just do it both on celebrating our victory and also asking for forgiveness (: no biggy
